Entry Requirements An entry fee of $100.00 per group is required along with a completed registration form. You may register online here , or download a registration form here to mail with your payment. The entry fee is non-refundable and it will be credited on the final statement. Registration forms and entry fees must be submitted by Friday, January 12, 2009. Music Requirements Choirs are required to perform THREE compositions (up to 15 minutes total). There is no required music list. The compositions are the director’s choice. Directors must provide two scores with numbered measures for each selection. Photo copies are not permitted without a letter from the publisher. Show and jazz choirs may perform with recorded background music or live instrumental accompaniment. Numbered scores are not required. Groups using a CD or tape must provide their own sound equipment as it is not available at the festival site. Performance Information Each group will be given a 30 minute warm up time prior to their performance. Total on-stage time is 30 minutes. This includes entry, set-up, performance, clinic session, and exit. Star Music Fest will provide a digital piano, and a director’s music stand. No additional equipment is available at the festival site. Two Ohio Music Educator Adjudicators will evaluate your performance. One adjudicator will provide a clinic session immediately following the performance.
Terms and Conditions
Application: A non-refundable application fee of $100.00 must accompany your application. This deposit should be made payable to Star Music Fest and is applied to your final statement. We DO NOT consider Purchase Orders a form of payment. Payments: Payments will be divided into two installments. The final payment must be made no later than 30 days prior to departure. If full payment has not been received in our office 30 days prior to departure, Star Music Fest reserves the right to cancel all arrangements and withhold all payments made. No tickets will be distributed to the group until the final balance and applicable fees are paid in full. Scheduling Groups with special scheduling needs (late arrival, early departure) are asked to note these at the time of application on the Event Entry form. While we try to accommodate special requests, no group can be promised a certain performance day or time or that all performances will be on the same day. SCHEDULES ARE DETERMINED BY THE NUMBER AND KINDS OF GROUPS ATTENDING, AND WILL NOT BE COMPLETED UNTIL TWO TO THREE WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Cancellation Policy If the school finds it necessary to cancel from the festival, a full refund will be issued if written cancellation notice is received 30 days before the festival. Cancellation in writing may be sent via e-mail, fax or US Mail. Any group that cancels less than 15 days before the festival will forfeit all payments made. Liability Disclaimer Noteworthy Tours, Inc., (Star Music Fest) is only responsible to the festival participants (anyone receiving the festival package) for organizing the festival and arranging room and meal accommodations, and admission fees where applicable and included. Noteworthy Tours, Inc. and its agents and employees shall not be responsible for property damage, loss, accident, delay, or by act of God or change in itinerary incurred by any person or festival participant arising out of the negligence of any direct or supplemental carrier, hotel, or any other person rendering any services or accommodations being offered in this festival. Furthermore, Noteworthy Tours, Inc. will not be responsible for any damage or delay due to illness, pilferage, labor dispute, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather or causes beyond our control, or any means of transportation of any person from any cause whatsoever, or for loss or expense occasioned thereby. Noteworthy Tours, Inc. will not be responsible for an additional expense, omission, delay re-routing or act of government authority.
